Digi Portserver Latency Setting

For machines equipped with Portserver there is a setting to be done in order to speed up the communication. In particular, this speeds up the transfer of programs to the machine.

For the following procedure to work you need to be connected to the portserver (see the Fisa Software Training Module "Start-up of Fisa Logger" for details on how to install the Portserver):

  1. Launch the Digi Port Authority - Remote

  2. The Port Authority opens - Click on the Configure: button

  3. Your default Internet Explorer opens:
     
    Select the Configure menu:

  4. Select the Network submenu

    Click on the Advanced button.

  5. By default the "Throughput" mode is enabled. Change it to "Latency" mode.

  6. Click the Submit button to commit the change
     

  7. Log out from the configuration session
     

Verify the difference in transmission speed from PC to Programmer.
