Modes with textfiles

Fisa Project Modes

Fisa Project can be run in different modes for debug or practical purposes.

To activate a specific mode, include a text file (extension .txt), which can be empty, in the same folder as Project.exe.
Filenames are not case-sensitive.

The files will automatically be deleted if they are older than 24 hours (except in Source Mode).

Note:
It can take some time for windows to detect a new file.
It has been found that after creating a new file, you can open another folder and then reopen the folder with the new file to help Windows refresh its internal memory.

FisaMode.txt

This mode is useful when the computer has Logger License.
The user does not have to log in and is immediately in Supervisor Mode when launching Project.exe.
Password is not asked to switch from operator to supervisor.

DebugMode.txt

Gives access to the new Debug Control Center in Logger Mode.
You need PU version 12.00 for the synchronization to work.
Read More: Debug Control Center for Logger NB! Preliminary, not yet fully tested!

EmulatorMode.txt

This mode is like simulation and sends the instruction not only to the local interpreter but also to serial ports.
In this mode a complete machine can be simulated by running another instance of Project in Logger Mode.
The serial ports used by logger have to be physically connected to the ports used by the Emulator (crossed cables).

BufferMode.txt

The Buffer Mode is activated only if Fisa Mode is also detected.
As from version 3.2.43, data on serial ports (or/and from simulator/emulator) are concatenated in a unique buffer.
The unique buffer gives better performance and it serves for our transition to the I2C protocol.
In this mode, the buffer and time of analysis of the interpreted buffer are shown.

InstrumentsFile.xml

The instrument values and their state of alarm are printed to an xml-file by the DPU and are read by Fisa Logger.
The DPU (Data Processing Unit) is a Fisa PLC on the I2C-network.  The first machine delivered with the DPU is for Italy (a large optics mass production machine) where the DPU manages all  instrument polling and implements the logics for generating alarms, calculations, etc.
The file is NOT deleted after 24 hours.
